Election Tomorrow

Don’t forget to vote tomorrow!  It is always critical for Frisco to have a good voter turn-out. It helps us in many ways AND is important to exercise our right to vote.  Below is some helpful information:

NOVEMBER 8TH ELECTION:

Since this is a County Election, polling locations are different than City Elections.  Because of that, the city website was causing some confusion for Citizens.  We have updated the website with the following information:

All Collin County Residents - Vote at Collin County Community College, 9700 Wade Blvd.

Denton County Residents - You must know your precinct number and vote at the polling location listed below:

Precinct 117 and 137:  Griffin Middle School, 3703 Eldorado Parkway, between Teel and Legacy.

Precinct 131: The Colony High School, 4301 Blair Oaks Road, The Colony

The precinct number can be found on your voter’s registration card.  If you cannot locate your card, you may call the City Secretary’s Office at 972/335-5551 and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Same Ballots (Collin County) can be found HERE.

Your voter registeration card can be found HERE. (Collin County)

Your voter registeration card can be found HERE. (Denton County)

Voting Locations, Denton County, can be found HERE.

Voting Locations, Collin County, can be found HERE.

Ballot Language can be found HERE.  Review from the League of Women Voters can be found HERE.

Nativity Exhibit

[From former Council Member Tracie Shipman]

Please join me at the Fourth Annual Frisco Nativity Exhibit,  lovingly hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

There is no better way to get into the spirit of the season than exploring the hundreds of treasured Nativities from around the world at the exhibit.   It's a breath-taking and moving display of faith and art combined.

Families are welcome and admission is free.   The Nativities are on exhibit for only two days: December 2nd and 3rd from  10 am to 9 pm each day

I will be performing my annual Christmas Concert at 8:00 pm  [note from Maher: Tracie can really whip out some vocal’s.  By the way, this plug is partially so that Tracie NEVER EVER volunteers me to publicly sing in any way. My political career would be over if anyone was subjected to that!]

that Friday evening, the 2nd. I'd love to see you there!

SECTION OF DALLAS PARKWAY CLOSED STARTING TODAY THROUGH NOVEMBER 3 (October 25, 2005) Beginning today, Tuesday, October 25, the inside, northbound lane of Dallas Parkway (future Dallas North Tollway) from Lebanon to Platinum will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The lane closure will remain in place each day, during the specified hours, through Thursday, November 3, with the exception of Sunday, October 30.

The closure is necessary while construction crews hang bridge beams on the DNT across the BNSF railroad tracks.   During this process, the northbound to southbound u-turn lane may also be closed to accommodate the beam hanging.  There may also be short periods of time (less than 10 minutes) when northbound Dallas Parkway is completely closed while the contractor removes the beams from the trailers
