Also,
let me make some corrections for the newsletter I sent out earlier. Hey, I am
starting to feel like a newspaper editor :-) This newsletter takes me hours to put together and my poor
editor skills along with being a fairly fast typist is a recipe for
disaster at times :-)
Yes, I know it is Mayor Mike Simpson, not Mayor Mike
System. My technology background really hurts at times. Also, I had
the wrong link for photographer Warren Harris. It is
http://www.warrenharris.net not "warrent". Sorry Warren. Hey, at
least we get to put your web site link one more time in the newsletter.
Also,
on the article about Jose Artiles, I learned a little more about the
camera on the moon incident. It was not a camera, but a self timer.
The astronauts were going to use it to take a picture with them standing
in front of Surveyor 3. To this day, Jose is not sure why they left it
on the moon instead of returning it to him. Either way, my original
message stands; if you happen to be stopping in on the moon, pick up
his self-timer. He wants it back.
Which brings up another
point; If you see a major mistake, please let me know. I will usually
correct newsletter problems before archiving them to the web site.
Also, if links do not work, or you want to add a link, such as a new
HOA, please let me know.
Have a good weekend.

LIGHTNING POSSIBLE CAUSE OF HOUSE FIRE; NO INJURIES REPORTED (July 20, 2007) Firefighters say lightning may be the cause of a single story house fire in the 8300 block of Nicholson Drive., which is in a subdivision just south of the intersection of Main Street and Teel.
Firefighters say a neighbor reported the fire at approximately 4:12 p.m. Firefighters had the fire under control shortly after 5 p.m.
Due to the volume of fire in the attic, crews attacked the fire using an aerial ladder truck, as well as three engine companies. When firefighters arrived, they didn't find anyone inside the home - and there are no injuries to report. Motorists should avoid the area, if possible.
