I hope everyone had a great weekend as I know I sure did. I had the honor of watching Mayor Mike Simpson give the State of the City address on Friday at the Chamber of Commerce Luncheon and an even bigger honor to have Congressman Sam Johnson and his lovely wife, Shirley, in attendance.  Mayor Simpson, as usual, did a great job presenting five hours worth of information in only 40 minutes.  What the public usually does not see, however, is the hours and days spent coordinating the presentation with our staff.  His commitment to getting the most up-to-date accurate information in these presentations is unmatched and as many times as I have seen them, there is always something new and interesting to learn from.

Saturday was also another good day. Visual Arts Guild of FriscoMayor Simpsonn dedicated the mural that was created by the VAGF with help from the Boys and Girls Club.  Without the support of the Frisco Arts, Boys and Girls Club, Frisco Garden Club and Girl Scouts club 312 and so many more, none of this would have been possible.  Thanks also to Council Member Jeff Cheney and his entire family for being their and supporting the arts.  A very fun afternoon rolled right into an a great time at the Miracle League of Frisco

Don't forget, applications will be accepted through July 16th for City of Frisco board positions..   Applicants must have resided in the City of Frisco for at least one year.  For Additional information, visit this LINK.  You can also call the City Secretary's office at 972-292-5113.

Again, I want to thank to Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Jim Joyner and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Joy West for sending me the agenda in text format for me. It allows me to create the links and make it interactive for you.

If you want to send your comments to the Mayor and current Council Members, you can send an e-mail to "mayorandcouncil@friscotexas.gov".  This will reach all of them.  Also, if you have my e-mail address as "mmaso@friscotexas.gov", you can change that to "mmaso@ncc.com".

Have a great week!
